CHALLENGE

- Integrate our IT Consulting Team, which is experiencing rapid growth.

SKILLS

Technical:

-Demonstrable competence with the Java 8 (or later) language and core libraries;

- Appreciation of the importance of suitable algorithm choices;

- Familiarity with recent Java Frameworks (Spring, Hibernate, etc.);

- Understanding principles of Test Driven Development;

- Familiarity with REST API definition and implementation;

- Comfortable using basic Linux command-line tools;

- Competence with SQL and database design concepts;

- Familiarity with modern development methodologies (especially Agile);

- Experience with Git, Maven, Jenkins or similar tools Experience with JavaScript;

Soft Skills:

- Strong team-worker;

- Attention to detail;

- Customer focus;

- Communication and social skills;

The icing on the cake skills:

- Docker, Kubernetes or other container-related technologies;

- Query analysis and optimization techniques;

- Experience with non-relational databases and designs;

- Application of functional programming constructs such as Java 8 lambdas and Streams;

- Knowledge of performance tuning, distributed logic tracing and memory usage analysis techniques;

- Multi-threaded design techniques;

- Exposure to asynchronous processing and message-driven designs;

- Exposure to development in cloud environments (i.e. AWS, AZURE).
